Headteacher’s Welcome
Welcome to Hursthead Junior School! I hope you enjoy browsing through our website which should give you a detailed insight into life here.
Our school ethos is based on three things- our REAL wheel values of Responsibility, Enthusiasm, Aspiration and Leadership, the Learning Super Powers and the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child. These are the bedrock which underpin everything in school, from the curriculum and the behaviour expectations, to the policies and procedures.
Our children are proud to be pupils at Hursthead Juniors and value the knowledge that they will always be part of the Hursthead Family. They enjoy coming to school, talk animatedly about their learning and love the range of memorable experiences they can take part in, such as the varied extracurricular clubs, performances, sporting competitions, Forest Schools, educational visits and residentials. We believe in instilling a love of learning and developing life skills, alongside an understanding of what it means to be part of a community.
The children truly are our best ambassadors so please do contact us if you would like any further information, including a visit to the school to meet some of them!
